Birds At The Watering Hole

It has been brutally hot the past several weeks and that has the birds “flocking” to a small water feature I have in our front yard. We have seed out for the birds but they aren’t that interested in the seeds. They are competing for the chance to get a drink. This year we are seeing birds that we have not seen in our yard previously. In this little series the bluebirds and painted bunting are the new-comers. It’s quite a treat and I hope they continue to visit even when the temperatures grow milder.
