Had not heard of the Masonic Children’s Home until this weekend when I went to a wedding at what is now The Dominion House, a wonderfully remodeled building. Was looking for some history of the building and saw your wonderful story — sad, and yet, hopeful since your father evidently managed to make a nice life for himself and have a son who cared enough about him to listen and record his story. Thanks for sharing.

Peggy’s maiden name was Hunt…. Peggy Hunt. She lived in Ranger from around 1965 through 1971 when she moved with her family to Weatherford. He father was a Dean at Ranger Junior College. Peggy attended school through the 4th grade in Ranger before moving in ’71. She know’s the Riffle family, mainly Mitch and Mike, if that provides some context. She also knows Joy Weeks.

These are good pictures and they do make me sad . I grew up in Ranger and attended that school you pictures I also attended the First Baptist Church. What was Peggy’s maiden name?? I would love to go back to Ranger and clean up some of the places that are beyond repair. Maybe someday….My name was Regina Fawcett, may be Peggy knows or knew me.

I haven’t been able to get out in the heat & didn’t know they were uncovering the bricks. I still have a huge scar right in the top of my head (my bald spot!) where I hit it on the brick.
